1. mobile game development
on september 15, 2023, mobile gaming and interactive entertainment company playtika holding corp. (nasdaq: pltk) announced that it has reached a final acquisition agreement with israeli mobile gaming studio innplay labs. as part of the deal, playtika will pay $80 million upfront and up to $300 million.
innplay labs was founded in 2019 with a dynamic team aiming to shape the next generation of mobile gaming.
playtika believes the acquisition of innplay labs will expand its presence in the luck battle game genre and plans to drive continued, long-term growth for innplay games by leveraging its liveops capabilities and proprietary technology.
liveops (live operations) refers to the real-time operations and management activities that developers continue to perform, aiming to enhance user experience, extend product life cycle, and maximize revenue.
2. retail software services company
on september 12, 2023, priority software, a global provider of business management tools, announced its strategic acquisition of retailsoft for an undisclosed amount.
